The AAPG Grants-In-Aid program offers financial support of $1,000 to $3,000 USD to geoscience graduate students conducting research with direct application to petroleum geology, energy minerals, and environmental geology. The funds are intended for research-related expenses such as fieldwork and lab analysis. Tuition, books, room and board, or capital expenses are not covered. Applications must be complete and include academic transcripts and references. Approximately 80–100 grants are awarded each year.
