The Australian Institute Research Grant supports projects that secure both short-term and long-term benefits to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples. The program funds a wide range of research, including history, politics, law, public policy, health, biological sciences, education, Indigenous knowledge systems, linguistics, social anthropology, archaeology, and the arts. Grants provide up to $18,000 for travel, living, research, housing, and stipends, with funding approved for no longer than one year.
